Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, a permanent Institute under Indian Council of Medical Research, Dept. Of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. Of India, invites applications from suitable Indian Nationals for appointment on the following Purely temporary posts (on contractual basis) under the project entitled “Implementation Research for Point of Care Diagnosis of Visceral Leishmaniasis in India”, sponsored by Grand Challenge Canada.

1 Research Scientist One

1. Rs. 40,000/- Per month consolidated salary.

Duration of contract: The appointment will be made on consolidated pay initially for a period of 12 months, likely to be extended for next year till end of the study period.

(1) Important Qualification: (i) Master degree in Life Sciences from recognized Institutions. Epidemiology
(ii) Three Years’ experience in field Immunology.
(iii) Publications in the field of immunology having high impact factor journal.

(2) Wanted: Experience in the field of Kala-azar (Visceral leishmaniasis) will be preferred.
(3) Age: The candidate should not be more than 45 years of age. Age limit can be relaxed as per Govt. rule

Job requirement for the above posts
1. The person will be responsible for conducting the immunological tests; development of new Leishmania Antigen based diagnostic tests, analysis of data from time to time and or any other required job assigned for the project.
