Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the DST sponsored Major Collaborative Research Project between Dept of Biochemistry, Karnatak University, Dharwad and Advanced Center for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Navi Mumbai (DST sanction letter no. SR/SO/BB-0085/2010/A).

Title of the project: Investigating the role of a mitogenic lectin from Cephalosporium curvulum, a pathogenic fungus causing mycotic keratitis

Position and duration: SRF/JRF; 36 months or as and when project terminates.

Qualification for SRF : M.Sc., Biochemistry with a Minimum of 55% and one/two years of research training in protein purification and characterization, and candidates with experience in cell biology techniques preferred.

(In case suitable SRF is not found, the position for JRF will be considered)

JRF : M.Sc., Biochemistry with a Minimum of 55% with NET-JRF qualified is preferred.

Fellowship amount : SRF: Rs 14,000 or 18,000 per month with HRA.

JRF: Rs 12,000 or 16,000 per month with HRA.
