Investigator Awards
The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) invites
applications for RCB Young Investigator Awards from the eligible candidates.
RCB Young Investigator Awards are designed to identify and nurture outstanding
young scientists with innovative ideas who are desirous of pursuing research in
frontier areas of biotechnology related (but not limited) to Cell and Molecular
Biology, Chemical and Structural Biology, Disease and Microbiology,
Developmental Biology, Cancer Biology and Nano medicine under the mentorship of
senior faculty of Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB). Young scientists
below the age of 35 having Ph.D. degree in any discipline of natural sciences
with excellent publication records are eligible to apply. At least a provisional
degree certificate is required at the time of interview.
The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) aims to be an
international institution of excellence in biotechnology, with intimate
contributions from regional countries as well as from academic institutions
worldwide. RCB will provide a globally competitive platform for
interdisciplinary research and education at the interface of engineering and
medicine, chemistry and physics, agriculture and climate science to empower
human resources to drive biotech innovations.
The award shall be initially for duration of three years,
subject to annual review. It may be further extended for additional two years,
based on a review by a Committee of experts. The award carries a consolidated
stipend of Rs 40,000 per month. The awardee shall not be entitled to draw any
other fellowship or salary.

registered/speed post so as to reach the office of The Registrar, Regional
Centre for Biotechnology, 180 Udyog Vihar Phase 1, Gurgaon 122 016, Haryana,
India latest by 30 November 2012.
Only short-listed candidates will be invited for an
interview to consider for the final selection.
