specialization)
Qualification:
Master’s degree in Industrial Fisheries/Marine Biology/ Applied fisheries and
Aquaculture/Aquatic biology/ Zoology (specialization fisheries) / Biotechnology
or equivalent from any Indian University
Sound knowledge in fishery biology methods,
taxonomy, fish stock assessment methods, DNA barcoding/molecular taxonomy
methods essential. Candidates with previous work experience in the above will
be preferred.
Necessary:
Fishery cruise experience/ Working knowledge/ exposure to Database management software’s,
Fish Stock Assessment tools, PRIMER, Molecular taxonomy tools The project works
involve on-board cruises of 20 -25 days duration. Only sea-worthy candidates
willing to participate in cruises need apply.
Remuneration:
Rs.12000/- (consolidated).
Age:
28 years or below for JRF.
Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and female
candidates; 3 years for OBC candidates. Cut off date for age is as on 1-8-2012.
Period:
Up to end March 2017 or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier.
