Admission to Ph.D. courses (2012-13) is now open

Admissions to Ph.D. courses are now open and will be made strictly on basis of merit and availability of seats. The selection process comprises of an entrance test followed by group discussion / interview. The whole Ph.D. program is governed by Regulations of Sharda University. The various topics under which Ph.D can be pursued are given below :

Deadlines

Last Date of Submission of form: December 16, 2012

Date of examination: December 26, 2012 (10.30 am to 1.00 pm)

Date of interview: December 27, 2012 (10.00 am onward)

Entrance Test: The University shall conduct an entrance test followed by a group discussion/ interview for admission to Ph.D program

The examination shall be conducted either at the university premises or through any other mode which the university deems suitable

UGC/CSIR (JRF), NET/GATE qualified candidates may be exempted from appearing in the entrance examination

However, they will necessarily have to undergo an interview

Admission Procedure: Admissions will be made after the candidate qualifies the entrance test/interview and deposits the fees within the time

The students shall be provisionally registered for Full Time and Part Time Ph.D program at the initial stage and the date of provisional registration will be from the date of confirmation of admission

The candidates working elsewhere (both as teacher and non-teacher), in academic institutions, industries or research laboratories may be registered as part time candidates provided no objection certificate (NOC) from the employer is submitted

Teaching and non-teaching candidates from Sharda University seeking admission to Ph.D program will be considered as part time student

A student of foreign nationality can be considered for admission if recommended by the competent authority of Govt of India

A foreign student can also be admitted and the entrance test/interview shall be performed online/personal interview and other formalities can be decided on case to case basis by CRC
