WALK IN INTERVIEW

A walk in interview is scheduled at Veterinary Biotechnology Division of the Institute on 22nd November, 2012 at 10.00 AM for engagement of one Junior Research Fellow in DBT funded time bound project entitled, “Label free detection of Peste des petits ruminants (PPR) virus and specific antibodies using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) biosensor developed by fabricating immunogenic multiple antigenic peptides and epitope specific anti-peptide antibodies on sensor chips”. The engagement is purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. There will be no provision of absorption/reemployment in IVRI/DBT on termination of the project. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview and no separate letter will be issued.

Period of the project: Three years w.e.f 1st June, 2012

Important Qualifications: M.V.Sc./M.Tech./MSc degree in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/Immunology/Life Science or relevant basic sciences with NET/GATE or equivalent qualification. NET/GATE qualification not essential for masters degree in professional courses (As per guidelines issued vide DST Office memorandum No.A.20020/11/97-IFD, dated 31st March, 2010.)

Needed Qualifications: Well versed with the following techniques:

1. Chemical synthesis of peptides and their characterization
2. Molecular biology techniques such as gene cloning and expression
3. Immunological techniques like ELISA etc.
4. Handling of laboratory animals, collection of blood from laboratory animals.

Payments: Rs. 12000.00 or 16000.00 per month plus HRA depending upon qualifications as per guidelines issued vide DST Office memorandum No.A.20020/11/97-IFD, dated 31st March, 2010

Age limit: 35 years (relaxation for women and SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms).
